Since 1998, the three founders of Women Take Wing! have been involved in several incarnations of Victoria Magazine's 'Business of Bliss' online forum community. Dori and Deb held various positions of responsibility, including moderating the forums, developing and contributing to a community website, and garnering a mention for the group in Country Living Magazine's March 2007 Women Entrepreneurs issue. Stephanie has owned and operated both retail and professional services businesses and has also been active on business forums for a number of years.

Dori Hallberg, Debi Ward Kennedy, and Stephanie Zea, founders of Women Take Wing! Inc., have forged a friendship and respect for one another as business women and through their varied yet shared experiences. All have been shop owners, all have created product lines for sale, all have written articles on business, and individually the three women have experience as bookkeepers, financial advisors, public speakers, and organization chairpersons. Close proximity to one another in the Pacific Northwest has enabled the three to develop a strong alliance as they pursue their entrepreneurial goals, both individually and collectively.

In Spring of 2007, Dori, Debi and Stephanie decided to fly with their visions, dreams, and goals for helping other women succeed in business, and the result is Women Take Wing! Inc. Supported and encouraged by their families, friends, business associates, a diverse board of consultants, and some wonderful women who have traveled this Blissful journey beside them for years, they have created a unique women-centric organization. Founded on the premise of providing support, education, inspiration, connection, and promotion for women with their own small businesses, Women Take Wing! Inc. reflects the constantly expanding, growing, evolving and vital world of entrepreneurial success......for women, by women, of women, because of women.
