Jenny Durbin is the “Old Bag” of OldBagNewTricks.com.

An innovative spirit, Jenny has her own power tools and she knows how to use them. Jenny creates charming home décor items and personal art pieces that are inventive, with a humorous, approachable style just this side of edgy. Preferring organic materials, Jenny works with wood, fabric and paper with equal ease and expertise. “I like my work to be beautiful and useful.” Toward this endeavor, some of Jenny’s featured pieces include elevated pet feeding stations, “Pet Dinettes” in which rescued vintage bowls are incorporated into the design. “We love our pets, we love our kitchens – why should the pet dish in our kitchen be ugly? It should be artful and charming.”

Personal art pieces Jenny creates include treasure boxes, ribbon poppy broaches, and magical wands. She also makes imaginative footstools, office accessories, multi-pocketed handbags and small pet carry bags.

Believing down to the ground that art belongs to everyone, Jenny teaches art and craft at local senior centers and assisted living residences. She also does Art Parties for birthdays and special occasions. “A little glitter, a little glue – everybody should have an artful good time.”
