Missy Sue Hanson
If you ask anyone who knows Missy to describe her, these are a few of the words you might hear....silly, crazy, goofy, clumsy, a little "flighty", with a little caring mixed in. From the time Missy could walk, she was in to something and very quickly moved on to the next "something" she wanted to try.
She carried that passion to find her niche with her into adulthood as she opened three online boutiques, the last being a vintage-inspired retreat for her hectic days as a single mother and student. Soon, though, the call for trying out her new talents took her on a journey towards virtual expression and she opened Lorelai Roark Design Studio, a virtual boutique of graphic eye candy.
From vintage and retro to corporate identity and boutique branding, Missy has built a haven for stressed business owners who need a special touch for their boutiques but also have to pay close attention to very real budgets. Being a small boutique owner herself in the past, the most frustrating part for her was being able to brand her business without breaking the bank. Having an artist’s background has given her the ability to mix and match her love of virtual art with paper art, bringing her custom hand-drawn illustrations to life with her computer and turning them into one of a kind branding tools.
Missy lives in rural Missouri with her son and is busy planning the opening of Lorelai Roark Photography, the second division of her creative company. Opening in the late Summer of 2008, Lorelai Roark Photography will specialize in custom photography for portraits and weddings while the Design Studio will handle all the print and design aspects.
