Kim Sharifi

“We can not go from day to day with standard issue goods -- life must be soulful and indulgent” says Kim Sharifi, purveyor of luxurious little goodies that make life more beautiful. In 2005 Kim opened her boutique in Carlsbad, CA to satisfy a need for the everyday indulgences of fabulous sleepwear, fine bath soaps and lotions, wonderful paper products and delicate touches for the home.

The boutique life has always been a calling for Kim and yet her talents as a project coordinator in the heavy construction industry have also played a crucial role in the expression of her creativity. Two more diverse careers options could not have presented themselves so neatly and at the same time. Throughout the many transitions Kim has made in her career, none made more sense to her, than to put her entire boutique endeavor on-line in 2006. The opportunity to help manage pipeline contracts in the day and the bliss of wrapping pretty packages with ribbons for her web-boutique customers in the evenings is her passion.

It is Kim’s goal to transition from the full time construction industry as Soul of the Rose Gifts continues to grow in popularity. By fulfilling her marketing and product expansion goals, Soul of the Rose Gifts will provide the perfect semi – retirement business. Kim and her husband Matt also own and operate two flooring stores in Orange County CA. Their busy, noisy and creative household is shared with their children Nina (16) and Bijan (18), who are both into the arts and getting ready for college!

2008 marks the beginning of a new business model for Soul of the Rose Gifts in that they will transition to a Dedicated Giving Boutique: donating 10% of all of their internet sales to local, national and international charitable organizations, staking claim to the idea of “Soulful and Indulgent Gifts”.
