Sandra Stipe

Sandra Stipe is the Executive Director for Saratoga Community Housing (SCH), a grassroots non-profit Community Land Trust dedicated to providing affordable housing opportunities for residents of Island County. Sandra came to SCH after serving as the start-up Director for Whidbey Island Share a Home (WISH), a non-profit community based home share program.

Prior to moving to Whidbey Island - Washington, Sandra worked in San Francisco as a Sales Consultant for the National Railroad Corporation, gaining valuable experience in Sales and Marketing. Then, in a major career change, she worked her way into the position of Trust Fund Administrator for the Northern California Retail Clerks- Employers Benefit Plans managing ten separate medical and pension trust funds.

Sandra grew up in the Seattle area and was happy to return to the Northwest. Her educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington with additional course work in Business Administration and Non-Profit Organization.

To date, Sandra's most rewarding occupation is that of “single parent.” She loves spending time with her two sons exploring new places and learning new things. They also like to hang out on the Island with friends and family. Given an opportunity and some free time, Sandra would enjoy reading, taking pictures or sailing around the world.
