Carolyn Browne Tamler

Carolyn Browne Tamler began her sole proprietorship business, Carolyn Browne Associates, in Seattle in 1977. The firm specializes in community involvement programs, marketing research, marketing, facilitation, promotion and community education projects for a broad range of public agencies and private clients. Carolyn has managed complete community involvement programs and marketing research survey processes with a special focus on city planning, parks and recreation, public transit, environmental issues and public works projects.

Prior to establishing her own business, Carolyn managed the Marketing Research Departments for Metro Transit (now King County Metro) and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

A trademark of Carolyn Browne Associates is the Survey Process, which includes a planning workshop and focus group discussion prior to the design of the survey questionnaire; data collection using accepted random sample techniques conducted by highly respected data collection firms; clearly written survey reports and effective presentations to city councils and administrative staff.

Since moving to Whidbey Island, Carolyn Tamler established an additional business, “Envision Your Future.” Carolyn facilitates a simple process to help clarify goals and list and prioritize specific tasks to help attain a vision. Her envisioning process has been used to define what was needed in major public projects, to help professional offices and organizations operate more successfully and to help individuals identify specific tasks to achieve their business and personal goals.
