Anita Villar-Bell

Anita Villar Bell is the proprietress of Vie Chaotique. Having lived and traveled all over the world, she is married to an artist. She credits these experiences to her cultivating an ironic, sophisticated, effortless yet attainable sense of style.  Instead of eclectic, a much over used word in her estimation, she calls her style 'chaotique'. A decorative mix of found objects and the urban, with a French sensibility. Vie Chaotique (in French: chaotic life).

Inspiration for her boutique is her familiarity with a chaotic life. "Working full time, a family, volunteerism and everything else you need to do may leave you with not enough time to find just the right gift for yourself or others. Making your home a haven becomes that much more important. It must not be a luxury nor should it be cost prohibitive. Sometimes your spirit can be lifted by just adding an exquisite scented candle to your home." Anita's on a mission to help you represent your personality, sense of whimsy and chic. A celebration of the individual.

What can you find at Vie Chaotique? Anita says "In all honesty we carry whatever strikes our fancy that day. However we promise it won't be mundane." On offer currently are Jonathan Adler, Casamidy, Comptoir de la Famille, Tade, Ibride, Lunares, Ana Candles, Mark Bell Designs and Pere Pelletier amongst others. Vie Chaotique's private label is a constantly changing line of fine home accessories with limited distribution. Also essential for Vie Chaotique is workmanship, with most items either made in the U.S. or Europe, and many handcrafted.

Vie Chaotique's specialty are gorgeous gift baskets. "Actually they are more than just gift baskets. We call them Antidotes for the Chaotic Life." she says.  Anything else, Anita? "You never know what we are up to, so please check back often." This she says with an impish wink and a smile.
