Sharon Wollman
A friend refers to Sharon Wollman’s business as “The Needlepoint Rescue Society” and she may be correct.
Owner and designer of “C’est Chouette, The Vintage Needlepoint Pillow Boutique”, she has the honor of working in a medium that others have made beautiful: vintage needlepoint. Her long time love of vintage needlepoint, luxurious silks, and wonderful fringes, tassels and cords has naturally progressed to the creation of one of a kind needlepoint pillows that she lovingly calls tuffets.
The needlepoints have been found in the most luxurious antique stores as well as in junk boxes and trash bins. No matter where they are found, Sharon respects the hours of work that went into each piece of history. In her workroom, she restores the needlepoints and recreates then into today’s beautiful pillow and tomorrow’s heirlooms.
Sharon lives in the Great Plains state of South Dakota with her husband, two daughters, and Toby, the tuffet cat.
